We caught up with the eagerly anticipated EYHL match between league leaders Banbridge and second placed Lisnagarvey at Havelock park on Saturday afternoon.

It was a tight game but Garvey worked hard to get their noses in front early on and they succeeded with a field goal from Matthew Nelson after six minutes.

A big smile from Matthew Nelson after he opened the scoring at Havelock Park on Saturday.

Banbridge are defending champions for a reason and with perfect timing they pulled it back to 1 – 1 with a penalty corner strike from Jake Rowe at the end of the first quarter.
