I hot footed it to Larne Grammar from Jordanstown for the Senior 2 match between Larne HC and Owls HC with Larne hoping to confirm promotion, for the second successive season, with a win. Our friends at Owls were looking for any points to keep them out of the relegation play off area.
It was my second successive very cagey game with both teams continent to play the ball around without much go forward.
It may be that Owls were attacking the end I was sitting at in the first half but, after a few early chances for Larne, the Owls did seem to have the better of that period with a few runs down their left getting them some traction. However, the first half ended scoreless.
