I caught up with the first half of the Senior Plate match between, current holders, Larne Grammar and Bloomfield Collegiate on Monday afternoon at Lower Cairncastle Road.
Despite the bright sunlight it was pretty cold at this one with a cutting wind. However Larne warmed up fairly quickly with a open field goal from Isla Allen in the first minute.
This was followed by a penalty stroke from Anna McRoberts to give Larne a 2 – 0 lead after three minutes.
