The day had not improved. It was still grey and overcast for the lunchtime appointment at The Queens Arena, the first game of a double header, the Women’s Premiership fixture between Queens and Enniskillen.

Enniskillen hit the ground running, giving Queens no time to settle. Zara Flack opened the scoring for Enniskillen after 4 minutes. Dolores Hughes added the points for a 7-0 lead.

Queens responded but poor handing allowed chances to go abegging. Flack’s 2nd try, on 21 minutes, converted by Hughes had Enniskillen out to 14-0.
