If it stayed dry for my first 2 games, then the rain gods turned it on for the Women’s Junior 2 game between Banbridge II and Belfast Harlequins III. As well as being damp, grey, and gloomy now a heavy rain fell and coupled with a cold wind drew any heat out of the players.

On 12 minutes Ciara Patton found space to slot home Banbridge’s opener for a 1-0 lead, which they held to the end of the 1st quarter.
