Women’s Super Series 2023: Typhoons defeated Dragons by 7 wickets

On Sunday, Lisburn Cricket Club hosted a double header in the Women’s Super Series, at Wallace Park. Played in a T20 format, first up were the Dragons and the Typhons.

In the opening overs the Dragons struggled for runs, not helped when Abbi Harrison, retired hurt. This pattern continued until the Dragons reached 40 for 5 wickets. Jamie Lee Strang and Cara Murray’s partnership of 56, was a bright spot setting the Typhoons a target of 97 in their 20 overs.

Mary Waldron is bowled by Leah Paul

In reply, the Typhoons reached their target of 97 in 15.3 overs, with the loss of only 2 wickets. Robyn Searle carried her bat, top scoring with 39 runs.
