AIL 2C: Instonians 45 Skerries 26

Instonians welcomed Skerries for their AIL2 clash and last home game of the season at Shaws Bridge on April 1st.

It didn’t take long for Inst to get on the scoreboard, when, with only 2 minutes gone, Schalke Van der Merwe went over and Jonathon Milliken slotted over the kick for a quick 7 point lead. 7-0

Instonians Shlake Van der Merwe opened the scoring against Skerries.

Just 4 minutes later though, Inst’s Mark Keane was sin-binned for a deliberate knock-on, and Skerries had a numerical advantage. Skerries kicked the penalty to touch and from the ensuing lineout the ball came to Paul O’Loghlen who deftly kicked through to the goal line and Kevin McGrath touched down, with Ronan Mulcahy converting to level the scores . . .
