Queen’s University stay in pole position for promotion in AIL 2A after a big bonus point win against Old Crescent on Saturday afternoon at the Dub.
It was an impressive start from the students who pounded the Crescent defence, from the kick off, until space was created out on their right for Jonny Hunter to slide over for the opening score after 3 minutes. No conversion, leaving the score at 5 – 0 to Queen’s.

However, Crescent hit back fairly sharply with their loose head prop going over four minutes later, after an attacking line out maul, to tie the game at 5 – 5.
