I caught up with Banbridge Academy 1st XV on Saturday morning as they entertained Omagh Academy in the semi final of the Schools Bowl.
The game was a credit to both teams who looked to attack at every opportunity in a hard fought contest.
Banbridge got off to a quick start forcing an early penalty for Andrew Jackson to convert for a 3 – 0 lead after four minutes.

Omagh worked their way into the game and eight minutes later they were in front after a try by Bailie Smith, converted by Andrew Johnston, for a 3 – 7 lead.
