On a crisp, bright Saturday morning in east Belfast Strathearn met Royal School, Dungannon, in the 3rd round of the Ulster Senior Schoolgirls Cup.

Though it was scoreless in normal time, the game did not lack for skill, excitement and passion. Strathearn shaded the game in terms of chances and territory but were held out by a robust RSD defence. Strathearn’s midfield dominance meant that RSD couldn’t find their strikers, who when they did have the ball, caused the Strathearn defence to scramble.
