On a sunny, but crisp Saturday morning, Rainey Endowed School were the visitors to play Bangor Grammar School in a Medallion Shield tie.

Bangor started brightly and took advantage, when a ball was hacked through. Taylor Lockhart won the race to a bobbling ball in goal and got downward pressure to score. Adam Bickerstaff’s conversion put Bangor 7-0 up after 9 minutes.
Play was very even, with both teams moving the opposition around the pitch, but defences were king. Rainey failed in a penalty attempt midway through the half..
Eventually Bangor found space to put Lockhart clear on the left, to race around the Rainey defence to dot down midway out, after 28 minutes. Bickerstaff . . .
