On Wednesday afternoon Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Wallace High School faced off in semi final one of the McCullough Cup, at Havelock Park, Banbridge.
Inst had probably the better of the play in a scoreless 1st half, where both sides created chances, but couldn’t capitalise in the D.

After 38 minutes Matthew McIlreavy scored from a prone position to open the scoring for Inst. Inst had more chances in the quarter, but the last pass or shot failed. It stood 1-0 to Inst at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Though Wallace had opportunities, it was McIlreavy, who scored again after 52 minutes, doubling the lead, at 2-0.
