On Wednesday afternoon Banbridge Academy and Bangor Grammar School met in semi final two of the McCullough Cup, at Havelock Park, Banbridge.
This was a seriously impressive performance by Banbridge Academy. They were a yard/metre faster than their opponents, they created spaces for forwards, then they found those forwards with defence splitting passes. Bangor, though they stuck to their task and didn’t let their heads drop, were left chasing shadows.

Despite their dominance, it took Banbridge 11 minutes to open the scoring, when Matthew Stevenson struck. Banbridge led by a solitary goal at the end of the quarter.
