Premiership Women: Belfast Harlequins 24 Omagh Academicals 5

On Sunday, at lunchtime Omagh Academicals travelled to Deramore Park to contest an Ulster Women’s Premiership fixture, against Belfast Harlequins. Neither side had won in the league this season and both were itching to break their duck.

There were a very cagey first few minutes as both sides sounded each other out. Gradually Quins turned the screw. Their pack began to win control in scrums and the loose.

Khloe Millar opened the scoring for Quins

Territory told, and Khloe Millar, (Bear), drove over from close range after 15 minutes. Melissa Traynor added the conversion for a 7 – 0 lead.
