On Wednesday afternoon, Carrickfergus Grammar School hosted Bangor Academy in a Schools Bowl qualifying match in what would prove to be a lively encounter.
Carrick had the best of early possession but were unable to turn territory into points.

Bangor broke out and gaps in the Carrick defence allowed Kailen Cantley to dance his way to the line, before stretching out for first points. His conversion gave Bangor a 7-0 lead after 10 minutes.
