Ulster Hockey Premier: Queens 2 North Down 2

On Saturday, at lunchtime, Queens & North Down met in the Ulster Women’s Premier League. Queens fielded a very different side from last season, with 6 new faces. In North Down’s case, having gained promotion last season, this was there first game in Ulster’s top flight.

Kirstie Boobyer’s , No. 16, strike gave North Down the lead

Both teams spent the 1st quarter sounding each other’s defences out & just when it seemed that it might be scoreless, Kirstie Boobyer, gave North Down the lead on 14 minutes. Not to be outdone Meghan Cochrane equalised for Queens with the last action of the quarter.

Emma Gregson was on hand in a goalmouth . . .
