We caught up with a squad hitout between Cooke RFC Women and Wicklow RFC Women as the two AIL side went through their paces at Shaws Bridge ahead of the upcoming season.
Given the nature of the game there were a few extended breaks in a game played over two halfs, the actual running time almost 2 hours!
It was a typically scrappy game as the teams looked to shake of the cobwebs of their extended summer break and have a look at a few options. However, I must say the Cooke ball girls did impress with some of their kicking before the game started.
