On Saturday, at lunchtime Cooke met Clogher Valley, at Shawsbridge in a Junior Cup Semi Final. Clogher were missing 3 regulars in the pack because of a wedding. The match was moved forward to 1.00pm to allow the rest of the team to attend the reception. I covered the first 60 minutes of the game before heading over to Queens.
Clogher set off with purpose winning the opening tussles. An attack stalled near halfway and Aaron Dunwoody broke free from the ruck, into space and ran in unopposed for Clogher’s opening try, converted by Paul Armstrong, for a 7-0 lead.
