On Saturday at lunchtime Bangor III faced off against Newry II in the Ulster Junior 3 Final at Stormont. The sides had played each other twice in the league this season, umpired by club umpires and knew each other’s strengths and weakness’s. It led to a torrid time for the Branch appointed umpires.

Newry took the lead after 9 minutes, when Josh Porter guided in a cross, at the far post. Bangor replied on the 1st quarter whistle, through a Marcus Ross deflection past the keeper.
