Bangor and Norther Ireland Civil Service met in the Irish Hockey Challenge Cup Final at Havelock Park on Saturday lunchtime with Bangor proving more accurate in front of goal to claim the Cup 3 – 1.
We haven’t covered much of these two sides this season and from the early exchanges it looked as though NICS had the edge. However, Bangor were ahead after 5 minutes thanks to a strike from No 7 Lucie McNaught.

Civil Service continued to work hard but they were unable to take their chances and Bangor doubled their lead in the second quarter with the impressive Hannah Boyd getting a goal on the 23rd minute.
