On Tuesday morning, the UUJ played host to Game 3 of the 3 games series between an Ireland Development XI and a Scotland Development XI. Having lost Game 1, 1 – 2 and Game 2, 1 – 5, Ireland were determined to salvage pride.
Ireland shot out of the blocks and took the lead after 2 minutes, when Zara Malseed flicked home from close range. On 5 minutes Deirdre Duke smashed home from a penalty corner to double the lead.

It was not all one way, Scotland scored after 11 minutes, when Fiona Semple scored following a penalty corner, to bring the score back to 2 – 1 at the end of the 1st quarter.
