On Sunday afternoon, the UUJ played host to Game 2 of a 3 game series between an Ireland Development XI and a Scotland Development XI. Both teams had enlarged squads to give as many players as possible, game time.
Scotland settled very quickly and took the lead after 2 minutes with a Fiona Burnett flick, from close range. It didn’t get any better for Ireland, when Charlotte Watson fired home, following a penalty corner on 8 minutes. Scotland seemed a ‘yard’ faster, closing down Ireland before they could put together a string of passes.
Scotland led 2-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
