Our second men’s EYHL qualifier featured our second Ulster side, Cookstown, who faced Clontarf in a noon kick off at St Columbas College, Dublin.
This was a cagey one from start to finish. Clontarf started strongly and it took some last minute interventions from Cookstown players for the first quarter to remain scoreless.

After a bustling first quarter from the Dublin side their energy dropped off pretty steeply in the second quarter and Cookstown started to control the tempo. The Ulster side got their reward on the 26th minute with Jack Haycock knocking in the rebound at a penalty corner
