On Thursday evening Banbridge Academy met Royal Belfast Academical Institution, as part of a double header, in the Richardson Cup Final, at Stormont. This U15 level game was played over 2 x 30 minute halves.
In the 1st half Inst had the better of the territory winning 4 penalty corners, but unable to convert any of them. Banbridge seemed to sit back and absorb the pressure, before breaking out.

In a devastating 3 minutes before halftime Banbridge changed the whole complexion of the game. On 26 minutes they won a penalty corner, which Ben Thompson tucked away, followed by another penalty corner after 29 minutes, converted by Adam McKee.
