Medallion Shield. Ballymena Academy 10 Regent House 7 Quarter Final

Ballymena Academy welcomed Regent House to Galgorm Road for a Medallion Shield quarter final on a wet and windy Saturday morning.

The two teams didn’t seem phased about the rain, but the wind added a level of difficultly that all Ireland league teams would have struggled with.

Ballymena kicked of the match with the strong wind behind their backs and used it heavily to their advantage by pinning Regent down into their half for most of that first half.

On the 11th minute Regent let Ballymena take the first three points of the game when they failed to roll away and handed Ballymena a shot bang on the twenty two, right in front of the sticks. Out half Reuban Allen carefully added the three to give the home side a 3 – 0 lead.
