The game had only just started when the home team had a breakthrough with Billy Allen crashing over to open the scoring and give Rainey a 5 – 0 lead.
The visitors had been pressing strongly up until that point and it didn’t deter them so they were soon back in the hunt with No 12, Cameron McCaughey, going over in the corner followed shortly after by No 3 Rhodri Philips, neither were converted leaving the score a 5 -10 in Down High’s . . .
