With a few forfeited games in the Women’s Rugby I got the chance to take in a couple of All Ireland Hockey games. The first was a EYHL 2 group match as Queen’s University welcomed NUIG to the Dub on Saturday afternoon.
I must say I’m really enjoying our first season in hockey, every match a delight, and it’s great to see, one of our many favourite sides, Queen’s University do well in this game at The Dub after a slow start in the Ulster Premiership.
The Belfast side started this game strongly, and a series of penalty corners saw them take a 2 – 0 lead with Alyssa Jebb scoring directly from their second corner before Sophie McDowell got . . .
