Frustrated by Wednesday’s 3-3 draw, Ireland U23 Women won convincingly 8 – 1 on Thursday, and they set about the final match in the 3 game series on Friday afternoon, at the University of Ulster Jordanstown, in a similar manner.
The game was minutes old when Ireland took the lead, through Yasmin Pratt. Unfortunately, Ireland, while denying Wales possession, creating chances and limiting Welsh attacks, couldn’t capitalise on their dominance by increasing their lead and went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

In the 3rd quarter Irish dominance told and they increased their lead, through goals by Jessica McMaster and Erin Getty to lead 3-0.
As Ireland tired in 4th quarter, so Wales had a limited number of attacks, but Ireland’s defence held firm, to record a 3-0 victory in the game and 2 wins and a draw in the series.
