The phone at FRU headquarters has been ringing off the hook all day with the news from our various sources that Ulster have signed Glasgow Warriors utility back Stuart Hogg.
Haven’t been able to verify it yet but I’d put this in the same bracket as the rumour that David Moyes was getting sacked at ManU a few days ago!
Comfortable at stand-off, centre and full-back, Hogg has represented Scotland at under-17, under-18, and under-20 level as well as gaining full international honours. Hogg has made 35 appearances for Glasgow Warriors in the PRO12 and 15 in the Heineken Cup.
The Scottish youngster made his international debut in 2012 picking up 20 caps to date and he was the youngest player on the 2013 Lions Tour to Australia.
