Rabo Tackles Rugby

Club: Game On heads for Letterkenny – a spiritual home for rugby.

by

Game On and RaboDirect’s search for special places with a passion for rugby will see the show visit Letterkenny on Thursday for a special broadcast.

As every Irish rugby fan knows, Donegal is the home of Dave Gallaher, one of the game’s great players who was a native of Donegal and captain of the New Zealand ‘Originals’.

Game On listener Emma Cassidy’s passionate tale of how Gallaher became a rugby icon was judged to be a brilliant representation of a “true spiritual home of rugby” and won her our fantastic prize: the chance to co-host a special  Rabo Tackles Rugby radio broadcast from her home town on Game On.

Speaking to Game On host Damien about her win, Emma said:

“This is just brilliant. I can’t wait. Letterkenny is hugely into their rugby. We’re passionate about the province, about Irish rugby and there’s always a large group of travelling support going around the country, so it shows just how fanatical Donegal is about their rugby.”

If you’re in Donegal on Thursday 20th February and are passionate about rugby, you can be at the Rabo Tackles . . .
