Some of Ulster’s valiant travellers were only able to get as far as Bristol due to the weekend weather. Definitely not Castres – but they do seem to have enjoyed themselves non the less! Stephen Johnston tells us how!
The last round of the pool stages in the Heineken Cup had arrived and for 8 Ulster fans, the weekend was anticipated to be a weekend to remember in Castres.
Leaving on the Thursday evening, we had set off from Belfast to arrive into Bristol as part 1 of the trip. After checking into the hotel, the only thing left to do was to savour a few drinks before setting off early in the morning.
Travel day ??? :- Friday
As early Friday AM arrived, discussion at breakfast was only about the one thing – the vast amount of snow that had fallen overnight in the South of England and what Plan . . .
