AIL1B: Week 13 Results

by

Ballynahinch bounced back this week with a hard fought 22 – 14 win against Buccaneers to leap-frog the Connacht side and move back into the top three in AIL1B. However the home side will be disappointed they couldn’t add a fourth try in the second half after rushing to a 22 – 0 lead with tries from  Robin Harte, Aaron Ferris and James Thompson to add to 2 James Lash conversions and a penalty.

Buccs hit back with two tries of their own in the second half, one coming from ex Ulster player Mark McCrea but Hinch managed to keep the visitors at arms length to close out the match.

Belfast Harlequins extended their lead at the top of the table to three points wit ha 27 – 18 win at Deramore Park against UCC. Despite marginally increasing their lead in the league the home side will be ruing a few missed chances with the ball in hand as they failed to secure a bonus point against the leagues bottom side.
