I caught up with Ulster Women’s Team Manager Natalie Bryant yesterday to find out how preparations were going for the Ulster Women’s 7’s Tournament, to be held at Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.

There will be eight sides taking part in this inaugural event which will have an international feel with teams from Canada and Dublin taking part against local sides Ballymoney, Carrick, Cooke, Enniskillen and two from Quins.

The draw for the Pools has already been made and Pool 1 looks to be very tasty featuring indeed featuring Cooke, United Rugby from Canada, St Mary’s from Dublin alongside hosts Quins 2. Pool 2 is an all Ulster affair featuring local sides Carrick, Ballymoney, Enniskillen and Quins 1.

Matches kick off at 12:00 noon with the finals expected around 5:00 pm, a BBQ will be available from 3:00 pm and the bar will be open from 1:00 pm.

The day’s events will be rounded . . .
