Bangor Academy and St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena clashed at high noon in the U18 High Schools Cup Final, played at Tom Simms Memorial Park, Carrickfergus.
A calm sunny day, though soft underfoot, made for ideal conditions for running rugby. Both teams showed passion, commitment and a willingness to run the ball from all areas of the pitch in what was a belter of a final.

It was St Louis, who opened the scoring. Finton Bradley found a gap in the Bangor midfield and ran in from distance to score beside the posts. He converted his try for St Louis to lead 7-0 after 9 minutes.
