We caught up with the first three quarters of the Ulster Hockey U14 Schoolgirls Stevenson Cup Group match between Larne Grammar and Strathearn School at Larne’s Lower Cairncastle Road pitch.
It was an entertaining and hard fought first half as both teams gave it their all.
Strathearn had the bulk of possession, as they attacked the end I was at, but the Larne defence held firm and the teams went into the halftime break with the score at 0 – 0.
Strathearn made their breakthrough mid way through the third quarter and they took a 1 – 0 lead into Q4 . . .
