Six Nations. Round 4 Wrap Ireland 12 Scotland 15

We are currently carrying out a necessary behind-the-scenes upgrade to how images are stored and delivered on The Front Row Union Sports. With over 770,000 images on the site, we are moving our entire image library to a dedicated cloud storage service. This means images will load faster for you, regardless of where you are in the world, and the site will be more reliable overall.

As we are working on three separate versions of images during the offload process, the site cache sometimes struggles to keep up with which version to display and occasionally post grid images or complete galleries may fail to appear. This is a temporary side effect of the migration process — the image exists and is safe, it is simply in the process of being moved to its new home and identified as being there. A refresh of the page will usually bring them back, however, if it does not please contact john@thefrontrowunion.com stating clearly the post address and we will restore it as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience.

We expect the bulk of the image migration to be completed by the end of June 2026, with a fully upgraded version of the site ready to launch in August 2026. Once that work is done, the site will be noticeably faster, images will load more reliably, and you will not see any further disruption of this kind. Thank you for your continued support of The Front Row Union Sports.

The Women’s Six Nations got a bit of a shake up in Round 4 with wins for France, Scotland and Italy against England, Wales and Ireland. While France’s win over England was always on the cards the other two results come as something of a surprise.

Scotland recorded their first win of the six Nations with a well-earned victory over Ireland at Donnybrook.

A penalty from Scotland’s was the only score of an error strewn first half.

Thinks improved in the second half but it was Scotland who took advantage. Nelson went over for a try within minutes of resumption but Ireland hit back with a penalty try as they finally made their dominant scrum count.

Scotland’s Chloe Rollie breaks for a try against Ireland.

With a clear route to victory Ireland continued to pile on the pressure but a crucial intercept by saw the Scotland winger sprint clear from her own 22 to score at the other end.

In a frantic finish, pulled a try back for Ireland but the home side made far to many errors under pressure and Scotland held out for a memorable win.

We came up against a tough Scottish side who are physical and we were outmatched.

Our execution really let us down.

We thought we built on it from France and Italy and obviously last time out against Wales we were nailing it, but today it just didn’t happen, our skills let us down.

France go three points clear at the top of the table and will be strong favourites to complete the Grand Slam after beating co-favourites England.

Despite their defeat by Scotland, Ireland still look like they will finish as the best of the rest in third spot by virtue of their superior points difference. Scotland look like their only realistic challenge though it would need a big win by Scotland and a sizeable loss by Ireland in the final round to switch things around.
