Having already wrapped up AIL 2B league title, Instonians welcomed Skerries to the season’s final match at Shaws Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Instonians immediately opened the scoring with a fine try off the right wing by Bradley McNamara, ably converted by No 10, Ritchie McMaster.
The visitors struck back shortly after with their James Downes going over in the corner to reduce the margin to 7 – 5.
This only inspired the home team to greater efforts and tries by Bevan Prinsloo and Marty Vorster, both converted by McMaster soon followed to take the score to 21 – 5.
