On Saturday morning the Suzanne Fleming Cup Final was contested at Ravenhill between City of Armagh and last year’s finalists, Ballymena.

Ballymena settled quickly Armagh found it difficult to cope with the Ballymena pack’s offloading.

Ballymena had an early score when Catherine McCartney powered over for 5-0 on 4 minutes.

Ballymena gave Armagh no respite. Orlaith Breen scored after 10 minutes for 10-0.

With Armagh slipping off tackles tries followed from Jessica Wilkinson, 15 mins, Katie McGilligan, 38 minutes and Mary Rose McDonnell, 40 mins, together with 2 Katie McGilligan conversions to give Ballymena a very comfortable 29-0 lead at halftime.
