Schools Cup: Campbell College 26 Royal Belfast Academical Institution 22 Final

On Tuesday Afternoon, Ravenhill was the venue for the annual St Patrick’s Day Schools Cup Final fixture this year between city rivals Campbell College and Royal Belfast Academical Institution.

There was a hectic start. In only the 2nd minute Campbell opened the scoring when James Wells sprinted in to score in the left corner for 5-0.

Adam Millar equalises for Inst

Inst’s response was immediate. Adam Millar found space on the left and raced in to score in the opposite left corner to tie the game at 5-5 after only 3 minutes.

In almost their next Campbell attack mauled over from a 5 metre lineout with David Nelson touching down. Jack Best’s conversion put Campbell out to 12-5 in 7 minutes.

The game settled with both sides enjoying possession.

Inst set up a maul which drove forward gathering momentum . . .
