Schools Cup: Campbell College 24 Methodist College 21 Semi Final

On Monday afternoon Campbell College and Methodist College served up a belter of a Schools Cup Semi Final Tie at Ravenhill. A strong breeze blew diagonally down the pitch, initially in Campbell’s favour.

Campbell had the better of the opening exchanges forcing Methody back into their 22. After a period of intense pressure, including holding a ball up over their line Methody broke out.

Close to the line Callum Largey found a hole in the Campbell defence and powered over. Louis Curran’s conversion gave Methody a 7-0 lead after 14 minutes.

Harry Wells opened Campbell’s account

On 20 minutes Harry Wells was launched into space on the halfway line and carved his way through the Methody defence to cross close to the posts. Jack Best’s conversion tied the scores at 7-7.
