Schools Cup: Ballymena Academy 14 Royal Belfast Academical Institution 22 Semi Final

On Wednesday afternoon Ballymena Academy and Royal Belfast Academical Institution faced off the second Schools Cup Semi Final at Ravenhill.

The previous 2 games this week at Ravenhill had been wonderful advertisements for Ulster schools rugby. This was to be no exception with a game of two halves.

With a large aggressive pack Ballymena set about their task with relish forcing Inst back into desperate defence.

Ollie Collins opened the scoring for Ballymena

Ballymena camped on the Inst goal line and after a series of forward drives, Ollie Collins dived under the Inst tacklers to score. James McMillan’s conversion gave Ballymena a 7-0 lead after only 4 minutes.
