We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Richardson Cup Final between Cookstown High and Royal Belfast Academical Institution Under 15 sides on Monday afternoon at Havelock Park.
It was a lively opening quarter with Cookstown enjoying the bulk of territory and possession. RBAI defended well and looked dangerous on the break but neither side found the net and the quarter ended scoreless.
Cookstown’s Josh Ferguson opened the scoring in the second quarter with a well taken penalty corner strike but, just as it looked like Cookstown might start to dominate, RBAI made it 1 – 1 with a good goal from Nicolas Shaw.
