On Tuesday afternoon Sullivan Upper School and Wallace High School clashed in the Medallion Shield Final at Ravenhill. On a sunny afternoon both teams served up a cracker of a game.

In a hectic start Sullivan were quickly in the lead. A chip kick into Wallace’s in goal took a wicked bounce for Harry McCartney to regain and ground the ball. Ronan Naysmith’s conversion had Sullivan leading 7-0 after 3 minutes.
With their pack dominating Sullivan forced a penalty, which Ronan Naysmith despatched to put Sullivan out to 10-0 on 7 minutes.
Sullivan couldn’t make their possession and territorial dominance count, as the Wallace defence held firm.
As the half wore on so Wallace began to assert themselves and tested the Sullivan defence.
Halftime was reached with Sullivan leading 10-0.
