On Tuesday afternoon current cup holders, Rainey Endowed 2XI, faced Victoria College 2XI in the McDowell Cup Final at Stormont.
Rainey meant business from the push back. They controlled possession and territory.
It was no surprise that they took an early lead when Julia Curry’s looping shot hit the net for a 1-0 lead after 4 minutes.
Despite their dominance the 1st quarter ended 1-0.
Victoria were finding it difficult to get out of their half as Rainey piled on the pressure. Halftime was reached 1-0.
