We caught up with the Irish Junior Cup Quarter Final match between Pegasus 2XI and Portadown 2XI at Newforge Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Pegasus started strongly and they were 1 – 0 up after five minutes when Molly Young set up Alex Speers for the opening goal.
Portadown looked for a response with Maisy Hannath covering a lot of ground but the Pegasus defence kept them out of the danger zone and the the teams went into Q2 with Pegs leading 1 – 0.
Pegasus continued to push forward with Ava Cunningham having a few runs at the Portadown defence. Late in the quarter . . .
