On Monday afternoon, Methodist College 3XV faced Rainey Endowed 3XV in the final of the Gibson Cup at Stormont.

Although Methodist College dominated the first two quarters and Rainey bossed the final two, a lack of goals meant the final was to be decided on run-ins.

It took six attempts by each team to break the deadlock with Methody being denied by keeper S J Sufferin and her colleague beating the Methody goal minder to seal the final, much to the joy of the Rainey team.
