On Sunday afternoon Enniskillen were the visitors to Gibson Park to play Malone in a Women’s Premiership Phase 2 fixture.

Enniskillen took a 7th minute lead when Zara Flack cut through a midfield gap in the Malone defence to score close to the posts. Sophie Meeke converted to put Enniskillen 7-0 up.

Enniskillen continued to dominate. Sarah Teague ploughed over on 11 minutes to move Enniskillen out to 12-0.
Malone had difficulty breaking the siege. Zara Flack added her 2nd try on 26 minutes for Enniskillen to lead 17-0, a lead they took into halftime.
If Enniskillen dominated the first half, then it was Malone’s turn to attack in the second.

Eventually they broke through the Enniskillen defence when Machiko Silila stormed over. Laura Claridge‘s conversion pulled Malone back to 7-17, after 52 minutes.
Despite creating opportunities Malone couldn’t score again.
Enniskillen had the last say when they broke from defence and fed Zara Flack on the halfway line. She raced in unopposed for her hat trick try close to the posts. Sophie Meeke’s conversion on 79 minutes gave Enniskillen a 24-7 bonus point win, which moves them up to 2nd place in the table, with 2 games in hand.
