On Sunday Banbridge and Ballynahinch fought out a local derby at Rifle Park in a Women’s Premiership Phase 2 fixture.

Having been slightly delayed in traffic, we missed Tori Moffett’s early try to put the home side 5-0 ahead but it wasn’t long before Eimher Toal ran in at the corner to extend Banbridge’s lead, ably assisted by Jemma Farrell’s conversion for 12-0.

Ballynahinch fought back well and were rewarded when Naomi Rein crashed over for the first points of the day to reduce the deficit to 5-12.
