We caught up with the Schools Bowl match between Larne Grammar and Foyle College at Lower Cairncastle Road on Saturday morning. It was my third game in two days at my old stomping ground.
These teams had met in the Schools Cup Group Stages with Foyle recording a 26 – 14 win in Derry and Larne were looking for revenge.
The game was dominated by a strong wind blowing straight down the pitch and Foyle had the advantage of the elements in the first half.

Territorially, Larne were under the cosh for most of the first half but they defended resolutely and it took Foyle nearly 20 minutes to get over for their first score. Jaden Chen eventually worked the ball over after a general pile up on the Larne line. Niall Kelly added the extras and the visitors . . .
