On Wednesday afternoon, Antrim Grammar School were the visitors to Newforge Sports Complex to play Victoria College in a Senior Shield Quarter Final tie.
Victoria pressed from push back trapping Antrim in their half. Antrim could rarely break out.
After creating a few chances Martha McMurray hammered in an opening goal after 7 minutes.
Only 3 minutes later her sister, Poppy McMurray added Victoria’s 2nd goal on 10 minutes.
Only robust defending by Antrim prevented further goals. Victoria led 2-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
